My awning needs a little bit of repair work before the next event. (I likes the shade.) There’s a fastener in an odd location that’s hard to see. I’ve got all common sizes of metric and SAE hex keys. I’ve got a set of Torx drivers. None of those fit. Taking a closer look, it’s a frickin’ square drive, as seen in deck screws. Nice choice.

Come to find out, this is also known as a Robertson bit. To help avoid this kind of issue in the future, I’m buying a kit with 100 bits.
